pensive

Lately , I have been thinking quite a bit about some big questions . All of these quotes come from A Man's Search for Meaning , The Awakening , and A Short Guide to a Happy Life . I am becoming very interested in psychology , and in English we are doing a long project with the focus of "Journey to Awareness" which is all about becoming conscious of who we are , what we hope to achieve , what our purpose is , and to understand difficulties . Basically , we read , we have discussions , we write an essay and we make a movie - all with a close-knit group of about six people in my class . Not only has this process jolted my perspective , but things all around me are calling me to make a change . Similar topics were being discussed in church , and with friends , and in old writing . I am going to make a longer post later about my findings , but this weekend has really been a turning point for me that I think I will remember forever . So many complicated questions about suffering , and why bad things happen to good people , the role of introverts , and being comfortable in our identities suddenly seem simple -- and these answers are all building on each other to create magical , AHA moment that I have never really experienced before . It's super cool feeling when you discover buried things that have been present in your life all along -- even if it takes lots of time to reflect on your past , present and future.

wish me luck on AP's ,
