twenty fourteen - a year in review
on one hand, i loved 2014 -- it was filled w laughter, adventure and some amazing memories
on the other hand -- it was no doubt the year that challenged me the most as i was forced to learn tons about what is truly important in life
first a quick update on recent activities :)
over thanksgiving break my family went up to our lake house in austin...its always so peaceful there and we had fun racing tin foil boats when it rained and got lost in zilker park for several hours

red mamba number 13 grxt has been doing many activities -- including secret santa, visiting the skybridge, and various meals together #fizzixfriends
senior party was the first weekend of the break!! got my makeup done for the first time ever (aka wearing eyeliner for the first time ever)
our group was super fun!! i loved getting ready and eating dinner but should have been more honest w myself -- i'm not the partying type

things i've learned
- stop caring about what other people think of you -- its a waste of time
- grades are ruining the education system and comparison is a thief of joy! high school isn't all about getting into college
- life is about finding people who are similar to us in some special way, cling to them
- everyone's social media is way more perfect than they are
- if i can deal w 9 weeks of my family living at the hospital what can't I do
- cut everyone around you some slack, you have no idea what they are going through and everyone is struggling w something
- you don't have to drink to have fun :)
- stay weird
- make time for things that you enjoy, say YES, and think of each day as a new adventure
- community is so so important
- eat more dessert & listen to happy songs
- get comfortable w who you are, you have to sooner or later
- don't take anything around you for granted
- its ok if you don't know what to do w your life, no one else knows either
- photograph everything
- stop worrying about things you can't control
- be vulnerable sometimes, it will pay off
- napping is a great hobby
- take time to act like a kid again, coloring is as fun as you remember
- remember how much he LOVES you!!!
