On our last day of summer me & my friends made a music video to enter Ben Rector's contest! It was super fun!!! We didn't win (even though we were convinced we would). Silly people form college station broke the rules. His concert in Austin got cancelled :( We will always love you Ben <3

Lately, I have spent lots of time in ATX! I really like hanging out there because it reminds me of my Dad's silliness and creativity. That house will forever embody everything that he was. ACL was awesome! Not as sketchy as I thought. Much hotter than I thought. Vance Joy is super cute. Florence and the Machine was by far the best. We got super close to Walk the Moon. I got pizza instead of staying for Drake. I'm obsessed with Tiff's Treats.

This year I've spent a few weekends out at LLFC. It's always so refreshing compared to the real world. I love my camp friends. Oh, and I get paid to hang out with them and eat free ice cream. I even spent my eightenth birthday out there (I'm actually five, no worries)! Hoping to apply for media team this year???

Senior year has brought about a great deal of stress, and it's super weird that this is my last year at AH. Homecoming was actually fun? (I've never been a big fan of football games)?? Bonfire was underwhelming. I spent way too many tickets at Howdy Night. I'm trying to say yes to all opportunities!

As for college...you really can't ask me where I'm going because I genuinely have no idea. I applied to a bunch of liberal arts colleges in the south/west coast/near texas. I swear the future is all anyone talks about. I had a crisis about whether I wanted to be a Design major or not. I recently visited Davidson and I could for sure see myself going there. Colorado College is still #goals because of the Block Plan. Rice is a dream....My Reed supplement essay was about being a hopeless romantic. Choosing is going to be very difficult! Everyone is already starting to get in places and its super exciting! When did campuses get so pretty???

School is going well. AP Biology is hard but fascinating. Ostos tells me I'm going to fail college everyday. Getting to spend two hours in Mrs. Chupp's room everyday keeps me going. Mr Hendrix thinks me and Katie don't know anything.

Welp I have been dating a nice boy for six months. No clue how. He makes me very very happy! He is super silly & adorable. He writes me cute letters & takes me on cute dates & wears cute glasses. He tells me I'm pretty & puts up with the broken mess I am. He told me he loved me last week. IT FEELS WONDERFUL. I haven't told my friends yet. Can't believe I am publishing this on the internet. Moving on.

hello world wide web!!! i disappeared for a while but I am back and better than ever

SO many things have happened since I last posted -- all things that have rocked me & shaped me & changed me 

I've emerged from those struggles joyful, a feeling I had been missing for a while

the end of this school year came and went...I honestly don't know what really happened I was stuck in a state of numbness 

of all the terrible horrible no good days I had this year, summer has been full of days that were quite the opposite

I had the opportunity to go serve @ laity lodge youth camp & MAN did God move there tremendously!

We studied the book of James & cleaned dishes & had dance parties & blobbed & laughed & cried & hugged & told life stories & napped & got lice & called our bosses Mom and Dad & had a rodeo & ate corpus christi cake & took out the trash & watched eight yr olds whip & played what are the odds & shoved ppl in the sink & went on sneak outs & stole cookie dough & spread the Gospel & played cards & talked about teen teaching & got sunburnt & developed cc's & killed centipedes & explored a cave & rode highway 83 & basically just loved on each other for five wks straight

Who would have thought cleaning dishes & mopping the floors for 8 hrs a day with 14 other girls could be so freaking fun?!? s/o to the awesome relationships i got to form i already miss them (its been two days)

4. COMMUNITY IS SO IMPORTANT - hold each other accountable and point each other in the right direction

5. HAVE A HUMBLE HEART - oh wait, i'm not the center of the world

6. GOD HAS A BRILLIANT PLAN FOR US - wouldn't have ended up at camp without it

7. APRECIATE THE LITTLE THINGS - those moments make up the best memories

8. FURTHER HIS KINGDOM - it's our responsibility so get on it

9. RADIATE JOY! - there's more smiles and laughter in the canyon than the rest of the world combined

10. LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL - I have a happy year ahead

steps forward steps back

hey friends!!!! my life has been full of lots of happenings

softball season has begun and im loving every second of it! i've been super busy lately -- the play was awesome, school is awesome, my friends are awesome

if we are being honest here, it hasn't been a great month....but I'm really good at pretending every things fine (& i kind of hate myself for that)!! if i have learned anything its that you have to enjoy doing the things you love, and how important it is to make the conscious effort to be happy

on a chilly day me and jen and geli drove up to houston to visit rice

its the first college i have ever visited but it really wowed me

all of the buildings are gorgeous and i could definitely see myself going there

it was such a step in the right direction bc college no longer feels like this abstract thing that is out of reach and terrifying

around the end of the semester, epiphany happened!! its an open mic night at our school put on by creative writing & i couldn't believe all the wonderful wackiness that flooded out of the student body

i even played the electric cello w a few friends and its safe to say thats the most nervous i have been ever
